Style is Forever.

Stylish App Icon

So the other day when I was extremely bored and lurking through the iTunes store on my phone, I came across a neat little app that goes by the name Stylish Girl. At first I thought it was just another one of those pointless apps that you style mannequins using terrible clothing options but after downloading it, I found out just what a real god send this little creation was. For those of you that have never heard of it, it’s basically a way for you to document your entire wardrobe and create new looks that you can save and customise. You are able to photograph items of clothing that you’re longing after as well as allow you to keep up with the latest trends in the fashion world.

The app is extremely easy to operate, foolproof actually – molly and I both have it! When you first open the app, you are greeted with a simple looking menu- quite pleasing to the eye. Some of the options include:

Wardrobe

This is where you capture every element of your personal style by organising each item of clothing you currently own in to categories of; clothing, accessories and shoes are included of course! 

Outfits

Possibly mine and Molly’s favourite part, the outfit section lets you create different outfits with your own clothing as well as other clothing that you have categorised in the wish bag section (read just below). It is extremely helpful if you have got an event coming up and aren’t sure what to wear. It also takes the stress away from trying to work things out in your head!

Wish Bag

Wish bag is where you save all the items you want to purchase when you can, usually when that little extra boost of cash rolls in.

Calender

I don’t really use this element as much as the others so I’m not entirely sure what its exact purpose is. Something for you to explore when you download it!

Suitcase

Okay, so I think this is possibly the greatest part of this app. You know when your going on holiday and you sit there trying to think about what you’re going to take with you in your suitcase? Well this is exactly what the suitcase section does. How amazing is that? Just drag your clothing items from your wardrobe and place them in the suitcase.

The only thing I’ve found challenging about the design of this app is finding the perfect background to capture my clothes, but other than that it has been a welcome addition to both out app collections and will be definitely getting used heaps!
